Before the closing of last night's BET awards, Janet Jackson was escorted in by Jamie Foxx to speak on behalf of the Jackson family.
Dressed in all cream, Janet stood there holding back tears as the audience applauded her. You could tell that standing up there for her family was a very hard thing for her to do.
"My entire family wanted to be here tonight but it was too painful, and so they elected me to speak on their behalf,"

she said to the audience which included her father, Joe Jackson, who cheered and stood on his feet. She then added that her comments would be brief.
"To you, Michael is an icon," Janet said. "To us, Michael is family. He will forever live in all of hearts. On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all of your love, thank you for all of your support. We miss him so much. Thank you so much."
After Janet spoke, Jamie and Ne-Yo closed out the show with the Jackson 5's hit "I'll Be There" switching up from the usual grand finales that would normally take place. There was a somber vibe in the theatre and you could see both fans and celebs tearing up for the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
